Enigma of Toulouse Lautrec

I always liked art, but as once said one of the characters works of Oscar Wilde: "I am not the creator of art, but only a lover." It seems to me a striking fact, how some artists, conveying the beauty of even the sometimes ugly things, can thus give the viewer a hint of mystery in their creation.
I think the French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec  was one of such masters. One of his favorite paintings for me is-"Dance at the Moulin Rouge" This picture Toulouse-Lautrec painted in 1890 in Montmartre, France. At the first glance for those who are not fond of the art, this painting may seem not so unusual. On the contrary, just an ordinary picture which depicts a moment of life at the Moulin Rouge. Yes you right, at the first time watching this painting you can see only a lot of men in suitable to that time costumes and a several women on the first sight. Some of these people are dancing and some are busy with something else. So the only popular first question, which always ask viewers is-Who is this women in pink dress? What is very logical, because she stays there alone without companion and her face is sad despite the fact that so many people around her have fun. However, if to look deeper, at the far end of the hall, in the midst of people, we finally notice, something or better to say "somebody" that is not subject to common sense.A man with a skull instead of face. It seems like a man with a skull peering into the crowd, trying to find something or somebody that could take his attention. The artist seems on purpose painted him in a grey color costume in order to distinguish him from the crowd of same wearing people and give us chance to see him. Therefore the main our question and at the same time Toulouse-Lautrec's secret is-Why he has a skull instead of face and who is he? It is my favorite picture because every time I find something new for myself. Every time it seems to me that the artist wanted to tell us people something important. Something what he understood and want to share with us.   Well my theory is may be mater wanted to tell us his thoughts through his craft? May be he wanted to convey us his idea that this actually how he saw as an artist those who burn their life by visiting parties and those whose main aim is to pursue the entertainment? Because this man's cloth is a bit old fashioned compare to others, even his hat is old. When I look at him so shabby and faded it seems like he spent his life in this way and used to it. Nobody notice him, nobody doesn't care about him. But he still cares and looking for something that can make him happy. Unfortunately was looking for it in wrong place. Anyway it is just my theory of what happens on the picture, just a conjecture.
This question we already can't answer exactly. Because the great artist gave us only an opportunity to quess...

Films for logic or mind games.

All these films belong to the mystical and psychological  types of thriller. Watching these films the viewer always stays in tension. It forces audience to seek the truth. This type of movies is my favourite so I recommend you to watch somehow.

1.From hell (2001)-Another version of whom was Jack the Ripper. However this version is better because of amazing Johnny Depp))))))

2.Shutter Island (2010)- I don't need to say anything because Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio say for themselves!

3.The Mothman prophecies (on a true stories)-I want to pay special attention to this film because it is based on a true story. And the story is...
On Nov. 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant, Roger and Linda Scarberry, and Steve and Mary Mallette told police they saw a large white creature whose eyes "glowed red" when the car headlights picked it up. They described it as a "flying man with ten foot wings" following their car while they were driving in an area of town known as 'the TNT area', the site of a former World War II munitions plant. During the next few days, other people reported similar sightings. Two volunteer firemen who sighted it said it was a "large bird with red eyes". Mason County Sheriff George Johnson commented that he believed the sightings were due to an unusually large heron he termed a "shitepoke". Contractor Newell Partridge told Johnson that when he aimed a flashlight at a creature in a nearby field its eyes glowed "like bicycle reflectors", and blamed buzzing noises from his television set and the disappearance of his German Shepherd dog on the creature.Wildlife biologist Dr. Robert L. Smith at West Virginia University told reporters that descriptions and sightings all fit the Sandhill Crane, a large American crane almost as high as a man with a seven foot wingspan featuring circles of reddish coloring around the eyes, and that the bird may have wandered out of its migration route. There were no Mothman reports in the immediate aftermath of the December 15, 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge and the death of 46 people, giving rise to legends that the Mothman sightings and the bridge collapse were connected. (you can check this information in Google-Wikipedia))))))))))
    4. Wicker Park (2004)-I have no word- Amazing!

5. Number 23 (2007)-Only Jim Carrey can portray so true paranoia.

6. I know what you did last summer (1997)- Classics of the genre is already- must see for all teenagers.

7. Basic Instinct (1992)- I think this movie is the proof of the fact that the mysterious woman in our time can be dangerous))))))))))
8. Basic Instinct 2 (2006)- no worse than the 1st part.

9.Hard Candy (2006)-ridiculous and terrifying- all in one

10. Cruel Intentions (1999)- Again, must see for all teenagers and young people. I think this film is useful to watch to those one,  who do not have enough cunning.

The Mystery of Middle East. Part 2

Often people can't exactly say how look like people from Kazakhstan. Some might say:they look like arabic and some say: they look like chinese. Thats true appearance of kazaks is different. I also often here that I look like chinese but something in my facial features, accent and behaviour is different and people can't get it) Well the reason is in our hisorical origin. On the territory of Kazakhstan the most ancient nations were: Saks, Usuns, Canli, and Hun, who are well known in Europe as Turks. They lived there during the period from 8th century before our era and 5th century of our era. It is known that they were of Caucasoid type (Europeoid type) with blond or ginger hair and green, blue or grey eyes. Then the invasions of Arabs and Mongols influenced their phisical appearence. Today kazakh people look different, you can see people with white skin and dark skin, with ginger hair and black hair and e.t.c It seems like a great mix of cultures, values, traditions, beliefs and knowledges)

The Mystery of the Middle East. Part 1

I've always been inspired by all that is connected to the east.

Yesterday I looked for the second time the film Alexander in 2004 which tells the story of Alexander the Great. I liked how the director managed to convey the culture and life of ancient oriental tribes.

I also noticed that people in Western countries have no clear ideaabout the culture of my country. Therefore, I as a man who was born and grew up in a place where East meets West-Kazakhstan has decided to share my world with you.

First of all Kazakhstan situated exactly in the middle between the West and East. It is the 9th largest country in the World. And borders with Russia, China, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. As you can notice all our neighbors are ethnicity different. Such location on the map allows Kazakhstan to be cross-cultural and culture of our neighbors strongly influence ours. For example the fact that it is a multinational state makes it possible to speak on two languages equally: Kazakh ( official language) and Russian ( because Kazakhstan was part of the soviet Union for a long time). Also it is multinational cause apart from kazakh there live such nationalities as russians, turks, chinese, korean, germans,  uzbeks, kyrgyz and jews. Our Eastern philosophy teaches us to be hospitable and peaceful, so we are happy to accept another culture.

Our history has played an important role in the drafting of our culture. The conquests of the Arabs and the Mongols influenced our appearance, language, religion, traditions and art.
Strolling through the streets of our cities you can notice one pattern everywhere: half of the buildings constructed in western style while another half in eastern style. Restaurants in Arabic style are close to business centers built on the western model

Kazakhstan is a Muslim country but not so strict as other arabic muslim countries. For instance, we deeply respect and accept muslim philosophy, but our western impact makes us more loyal in this issue. We have the right to perform Salaat at will (prayer 5 times in a day) and kazakh women don't must to wear hijab. However, they should cover their heads in mosques and other holly places.

The food in Kazakhstan varies from traditional Kazakh cuisine to different types of cuisines like russian is very popular, uzbek, kyrgyz, turkish, arabic, chinese, italian, fast food. In other words everything.

At schools pupils study a lot of subjects (approximately 20 subjects each year) for 11 years. Another reason to like Kazakhstan are holidays!!!! We have more holidays than others because we celebrate muslim holidays, western holidays and eastern holidays.

Inner Beauty

There is a belief that fat people are easygoing and kind by itself while thin people are angry and bad. And I always wonder why do people think so? Because my own experience says totally opposite point of view. That is why I decided to represent my experience to people who read my blog.

Firstly, my experience of friendship with fat people (sorry if it seems to you rude but lets to call things by their own words) started when I was at school in grade 7. And I swear I'd never thought anything bad about fat people. Honestly I am the person who consider that all people are equal and should be treated equally.

So lets go back to my experience.
Before I went to grade 7 all my friends were thin and looked like me. However when I started to study in 7th grade I  was friends with a girl who had overweight. I was a confident teenager with many friends and when she came in our class I notice that she was shy and even closed. So I decided to do my best and make her more sociable. Well it wasn't so easy work and took some time, but eventually we became best friends.  I found that under her shyness and closeness has been hidden a girl with an interesting deep inner world. In other words I was happy knowing that my belief that appearance doesn't really matter proved to be correct.

But over time the more closer we became the more I noticed how strong the complex for her was her body and everything associated with being overweight. Insomuch that she thought people always make fun of her or suddenly she could begin to lower girls who's body she envied. Sorry for the the frankness. Then she started to lower me supposedly a joke. But I continued to be friends with her. Next she switched to another school and I didn't see her for 2 years cause she said without a reason that we cant be friends anymore.

After 2 years my parents wanted me to study there too,so I went to school where she was studying already. We weren't friends already nevertheless she at least greeted me meeting. At the same time in the new school girls from my class treated me with no friendliness. For the whole year I was trying to become friends with them but things didn't go and I kept wonder why? Terribly worried because I have always had many friends. It turned out that this fat girl told all my class something bad about me! I was shocked when one girl eventually told me this. I was and still thinking WTF????? What I did to her? When I told it to my mom, she says that may be its because she envied me so much. But I don't know, I just was shocked.

In addition I began to notice that in the majority fat people are shy and closed at best, or at worst are angry and resentful. They see everything awry, if you smile to them they think you make fun of them and so on. Their complexes don't let them to be more optimistic and to get rid of assumptions.

And I don't want to hurt them, I just want to explain and make it clear that nobody cares how do you look like (except your boyfriends and girlfriends). The only thing which make you attractive or not attractive person is your inner world, something what you can offer to people and share with them.

P.s I have some friends with overweight who doesn't care about it and everybody likes them because they are confident, smart, funny, kind and what is important cheerful and thankful people! Praise them cause it is a great job;)))))))))) love u guys!

Your people

Today I fear that I have a few friends but many acquaintances. I can count on my fingers people who really trust and who can rely. I know that to find true friends it is like look for a needle in a haystack. But thinking about it makes me sad. I noticed that people around me can easily communicate with so many people and keep it simple, meanwhile I always feel myself lonely. So I think may be problem in myself? May be I should change my attitude to people? I'm not a rude or aggressive person, but I perceive everything close to the heart. And also I have a terrible set of shyness and low self-esteem, so I was easily offended or hurt. My shyness doesn't allow me to say sometimes what I want or doesn't let me to show myself to other people. For example I know that I'm good at singing and dancing but only my mother and several close to me people know it. Even my grandfather just have knew it recently, when I with great difficulty overcame shyness recorded the song on his Birthday. I really want to communicate and have a lot of friends or even acquaintances but with who I can share interests and really have fun together. So I'm thinking now about sort of to practise meditation to become more me and to handle with my complexes...Well Good Luck to my self)

Adult Games

People always tell me that I am too straight. Because I always say what I think.
And u know what?
I don't always say what I think, I just say what I want to say,it is different. It means that I always think what to say but always say what I want to say. However its an iteresting topic to think about. Thus today I want to write my opinion or better to say my observations on it)
I noticed that the main diffrenece between child's mind and mind of adult is that children always say what they want and never think about is it right and what will happen if they say. While adults think before to say something always. And never say what they want to say, they try to find other words, expressions and ways to tell and then to do what they want. That is why when I always say what I want to say some people think it is good but more often people consider it as silly and childish. Well may be in some cases it is,but I try always think what I say and then say what I want to say, soooo... never mind it's just my thoughts and may seem difficult but it's easy, it's just who I am

Gratitude helps to remember the value of Life.

Yesterday I didn't write anything in my blog because I was in Birmingham. My good friend which is at the moment not in UK phoned me the day before yesterday and asked to visit her sister which studies in Aston University in Birmingham. Her sister's best friend a korean girl was suffocated with a pillow by her boyfriend.   (I don't use their names cause I think they would prefer to remain anonymous) My friend's sister was in a very close friendship with that korean girl. They study one course and did almost all their courseworks together. She said that once that korean girl came to her with huge bruises all over her body and explained it like that her boyfriend beat up her because she wanted to move from his house and live separately. Then my friend's sister suggest her to go in police and tell them . She followed the advice of her. Whereupon they agreed that she will take the belongings and move to her. Unfortunately, she didn't come back with her stuff to my friend's sister's house. My friend's sister was phoning to her for 3 days but she didn't reply. So, after 3 days police told her that her korean friend was found murdered.

Thus, my friend phoned me on Thursday and asked me to check her sister because she was in depression. I could not refuse and went there on the next day by train because Birmingham only just an hour away from me. While I was traveling on the train I was coming up with something to say to her during a meeting, how to support her. My head just exploded from thinking about it! I could not understand how I feel. All the feeling are literally mixed into one inexplicable mess. On the one hand I felt horror from a misunderstanding of how it was possible to commit such a crime. On the other hand I felt a strong desire to live. It probably will seem strange to you but I didn't want to be sad, on the contrary I wanted to rejoice. And this feeling I was very surprised.

When I arrived there and met her, she looked so badly: her face was pale and puffy from crying, she didn't sleep all night. She even can't talk normally. I tried to say something about what happened, but she didn't let me. I understood her, so I strived  to do my best to distract her from it. Sometimes she forgot momentarily but then again recalled the incident. Fortunately I was able to calm her down a little. So she can sleep and to recover. On the next day we were sitting in a cafe, when she said suddenly: "We complain about the any trifles, while the other people live in poverty, we should be thankful to God!"
And u know she is so right! when she said that I understood why I felt a strong desire to rejoice. Because I want to enjoy every moment of life. Life it is a gift and we really must thank God for it!

The Stoning of Soraya M.-does not leave indifferent.

This movie plays on the strings of soul!

It clearly shows how the primitive mind is mixed with a wild, unbridled insolence and dances on the ruins of adequate behavior.                                            First- it is true story.
Second- it still practices in some countries.
Third- some come up with laws, while other obey or are stoned.

President of Kazakhstan offers to imprison for three days for abandoned on the street chewing gum.

In my point of view to put people in prison for 3 days for abandoned  chewing gums kind of sadistic and is not effective. If we want to see clean streets corresponding to standards in other highly developed countries so we should undertake the same methods. I mean to penalize people for every abandoned bottle or cigarette butt. Because it can help to change people's mentality and make them to appreciate public places.

Marriage is a Serious Step in Life of Each!

Hello those who read my blog!

Today's topic is marriage. It just so happened that many of my friends, guys and girls of my age already thinking about marriage. Seriously,I often hear things like about "how it would be cool to have a baby now" or "I want to have a little baby". And I heard it from a friend that day and night walks in the bars and really can't take care of herself. Or, for example, I often hear how my male friends say they are going to marry, and how cool would be married. Well, please don't think that I am totally against marriages, I just against marriages of those whose mind is not enough adult for such serious step. If to be honest with myself, marriage is not about love,it is about agreement between two people to share one life and have similar ideas. Therefore, it is not wise to marry in a young age. Just think, when you are 20 or even 25 how can you understand who is the right person for you? who is the person who really has the same point of view on life and the same priorities?

For example I am 20 years old and I don't know who has the same ideas and plans? Because I don't know my own plans yet. I mean that I'm too young to know myself and to assess myself objectivly. So I think it is better to spend your early years for understanding of yourself than to regret in future that emotions and the immaturity gained the upper hand over you. Moreover, I think, it is much wiser to spend your youth to becoming a full-fledged personality and to know exactly what type of person is right for you, suits you.

Marriage is not just love in law, it has consequences, such as children. And before to decide get marry, ask yourself, how can you manage with responsibility for a child, if you are still a child in your mind.

University of Buckingham-Review

University of Buckingham.

Description of the university- step by step.

This is my first year in University of Buckingham and I really enjoy this time. Some people already asked me several questions about the uni, so I desided to write all the stuff in details, especially if to take into account that the oficial website of university is not enough.
I started my first winter term in University of Buckingham in January 2012. My course is Journalism with Communications. I found this uni through my educational agent in Kazakhstan. And there are 3 main reasons why I decided to enter in Buckingham. First reason is that this uni offers a wide range of courses related to Journalism. I considered many different universities and Buckingham was one of the few, which offers an impressive quantity of unusual combination of courses, for example: Marketing with psychology or Journalism with marketing and etc The second important reason is that Buckingham is the only one governmental university in UK where you can get a degree for 2 years. Sounds tempting. doesn't it? Why lose a year,if you can get degree earlier and spend a year for traveling or for obtaining a Master degree. And the 3 reason is that University of Buckingham is located in a neat, small, quiet and friendly Buckingham town, that is 82 km from London and Birmingham (it is only 30 mins on Virgin train to get to London), and that is only 29 km from Northampton. Also Oxford is very close to Buckingham,so you can get a taxi to there, which costs maximum 40 pounds. Moreover the famous and popular Bicester village is incredibly close. You can get there by taxi and it costs around 20 pounds.

My timetable is comfortable, so I have a great opportunity to go somewhere once a week, cause everything is close and I have enough time to do my homework. People here are really nice and friendly. It is a small town,so you definitely will make enough friends in a short period of time. On weekends we I usually go to London or Bicester village, also I have friends in Northampton and Oxford so I can visit them quiet often. Oh,forgot to mention that here is no railway station, but fortunately we have Milton Keynes,it is a town which considers as a new business center of London. You can get there in 20 mins for 15 pounds by taxi or there is a bus which can safely get u there only for 5 pounds. Also there is a big shopping center, cinema, restaurants, clubs and other entertainments.

Hope I was able to interest you and if not so read on.

With regard to teaching, I can say that here is a great teaching staff. Every teacher knows his subject well and has own method of teaching, every teacher is different by the way he teaches and finds approach to students. Some teachers are very strict and some are not very, but all the teachers are take their subject and teaching seriously, and approach to their work with all the passion. You can not to worry and be sure. All the lectures you can find in your university account and revise them at any time, especially if u get ill you can always know what teacher told in class.
There are different buildings for different schools, for example I study journalism and all my subjects are in Chandos building which is 3 mins from my accommodation. My suggestion for all new students to live first year necessarily on campus, because it helps you faster use to university life and make your life easier in terms of  that everything is close and you won't have problems with attendance.

What about food? Well, I'm the person who don't cook, because I don't want to waste my valuable student time on the adventures of food and washing dishes. That is why I think I'm the right one who can give you a full list of places where to it. Well, first place for all the students is Tanlow meal, it is a student canteen which works since Monday to Friday from 9am to 4 pm. Another place where you can eat a very good english poridge and some fresh croissant and drink a real English tea is place which calls Bartlettes and is in the center of town, also you can try there jam, they make it themselves. If you wanna something spicy you can go to Chinese restaurant on Moreton road or order delivery to your house. In order to quick snack you can visit Subway or Golden Crust. And to pamper yourself you can go to Italian restaurant Prezzo which is also in town center.

I'm done on this. Hope you found this information useful! xoxoxo
